The southernmost point of Sicily, closer to Tunis than to Palermo. Here, Arab, Norman and Sicilian cultures have blended for over a thousand years.
Mazara del Vallo is one of Sicily’s oldest towns — and one of the few that mass tourism hasn’t reached. Casa Soledoro sits in the very heart of the Kasbah, the historic Arab quarter, where narrow lanes, colourful doorways and hidden courtyards create an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
From here, everything is close. The Cathedral of San Salvatore is a three-minute walk. The famous Tonnarella beach — five minutes on foot. And in the evening, you only need to step outside to find the best seafood restaurants in town.
